Family Ties, Generations Strong

The Dixon family has owned and operated KMC for four generations, and many of our employees share deep family ties to the company. Grandfathers, fathers, and sons have all built careers here—some even in the same role! Just ask Randy, our Head of Maintenance, who proudly serves in the role once held by his father, Mike.

For over 75 years, we’ve never laid off an employee—not even during COVID-19 or the Great Recession. Our leadership works hand-in-hand with the team to ensure every member feels valued and supported now and in the future. Many employees have been with us for decades, often spending their entire careers here. This year, all five retirees had dedicated over 30 years to our company, each leaving a lasting mark on our culture and success!

Safety & Well-Being

We prioritize both workplace safety and personal health. We hold monthly safety meetings and offer first-aid training—many members of our workforce are CPR-certified! To promote personal well-being, we offer health insurance (with an annual health exam), gym stipends, and on-site flu shot clinics each year.
